Mudd Attends Digital Dealer Conference & Expo

This year marked the 21st annual Digital Dealer Conference & Expo and I had the privilege to attend while representing Mudd Advertising. Whether you are a dealer, vendor, or in an affiliated industry there is something to help everyone improve their digital advertising… not to mention it was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Being held in Vegas, one would expect the conference to be over the top in every aspect, and DDC 21 did not disappoint. Over 1,000 dealerships from all over the country attended this conference that spanned 2.5 days, had over 100 educational sessions and over 120 exhibitors; to put it bluntly, if you are in the automotive sales industry you need to attend this event. Top names in the automotive and advertising industries hosted 50 minute educational sessions about digital services throughout every day. Before, during, and after the educational sessions you can wander through the massive exhibit floor to explore the 120+ exhibitors, all of which have something to potentially improve your digital efforts. The best part, in my opinion, was being able to meet professionals from the industry face-to-face and just collaborate with them about anything and everything automotive; this included the opportunity to meet a few of the clients that I personally work with at Mudd. It is always great to put a face with a name. There was so much going on at this conference that it wasn't possible for one person to take everything in; even with two representatives from Mudd we were unable to attend all of the sessions and make all of the connections that we would have liked to. Since we did not have a booth in the exhibit hall this year, our main objective was to compare our current digital offerings against the competition, stay ahead of the digital trends, and improve our digital offerings by learning all that we possibly could. Not only did we accomplish our main objectives, but we made numerous new connections in the industry including several different vendors that could help us improve the variety of digital services we offer. If you are on the fence about attending the next DDC, make the leap because you will not regret it. We attended without an exhibit, which may not sound cost effective, but I truly believe the knowledge and connections gained are going to help Mudd Advertising continue to improve our digital offerings in a very competitive market. Not only is going to help Mudd as a company, but I definitely gained knowledge that is going to assist me in my role as an SEO Specialist at Mudd; for that, I would like to thank the Mudd family for allowing me to attend DDC 21.
