The Best Ways to Share Content Visually
I’m a visual learner. So when someone hands me a sheet of paper with a lot of content on it or sends me an excel sheet, my eyes glaze over. If you’re anything like me, you also find it difficult to sift through the mass of information for the most key takeaways. Luckily, there are people like me who can take that bulk of head-spinning information and turn it into eye-catching, engaging visuals.
If you want to share your information, you have a lot of options nowadays. One viable option to utilize if you have a lot of content is to use an infographic. Most recently, I created an infographic for a jewelry store that takes you through the steps in picking out the perfect engagement ring. It breaks down a lot of information into five simple steps.
Other options take a more engaging approach. I’ve seen quite a few videos that tell a story with animation. Here’s one I enjoy:
Informational videos are good because they are easily shareable, and you can include a lot of information without overwhelming the viewer.
Another option is creating a full informational website. Here’s an example:
This is a good way to create interaction and engagement with scrolling.
Slideshare is a fantastic tool to use to share information visually. It’s basically a powerpoint presentation that is easily shareable.
The last way to visually share content is by taking advantage of social media. The best example of a company using Vine for informational means is Lowe’s. Take a look at how they use these six second Vines to share their knowledge to the rest of us.
The most important thing to remember is that there should be a point to your visual content. Don’t just stuff a bunch of random information and statistics together: have a purpose. Connect to your target market by creating relative content. You have the information, now lets get it out in an easily shareable and visually pleasing way!
