The Online Misconception
I decided the other day that I would like to start my own business. I thought perhaps I would start a new clothing business that would be in a very busy section of town like Main Street. However, in order to save some money, I decided I would not put the store directly on Main Street but just off to the side in hopes of getting a cheaper rent rate. Since I saved some money on the location, I am going to use it to make sure that the interior of my store is constantly updated. I don’t think that I will advertise for this new store since this is the hip area of town, people will definitely stop in. After hearing my plans, I was wondering if any of you would like to invest.
At this point, you’re probably worried about this poor misguided twenty-something about to put all of his money in an investment that seems doomed from the very beginning. I appreciate your concern but fear not, this was only an example. Now that you’ve calmed down about my ill-fated, phony investment, perhaps you should ask yourself “Is this the way I treat my digital business?”
As an Account Manager, I hear this type of thing all the time: “Take a look at my website!” or “I am online.” While there is no doubt that it’s incredibly valuable to have an aesthetically pleasing website that allows users to view your products and/or services at their convenience, if they don’t know about or can’t find your site what good is it?
This is where we come in. Here at TargetClick, our goal is to provide your audience with a road map to your online presence whether that be through paid search, search engine optimization, pre-roll campaigns, or whatever other methods you decide. There is always someone in need of your products and/or services and it is our job to direct them to you.
If upon reading this you have any questions about your digital road map, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to discuss how we can help.
