Position Summary

The purpose of a Media Assistant assist the Media Department as they plan and buy media on behalf of our clients. Mudd Advertising’s tag line is “We Love it When You Succeed.” In this position, “success” is lending a hand to all functions of the media department.

Essential Job Duties 

  1. Assist with Client Startup/maintenance
    1. Create/revise media proposals as needed
    2. Setup/update systems as needed (topsheets, AdSuite, AGI, WMJ, etc.)
    3. Complete reconciliation and post buy analysis
  2. Traffic media appropriately
    1. Send orders and manage makegoods
    2. Create and distribute traffic instructions internally and externally
  3. Assist with financial aspect of media department
    1. Update costs on media proposals before sending to billing and accounting
    2. Reconcile media invoices, approve and send to accounting for payment
  4. Train and supervise media department interns

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication
  2. Strong attention to detail
  3. Proficiency in Excel and Strata
