Expectations and Behaviors

A person in this position is responsible for developing relationships with dealers within a defined territory. The Business Development Manager will sell all products the company offers, including direct mail, production, digital, P.O.P., call center, and interactive.

Build relationships among key agency departments, ensuring they are updated and work is in line with client expectations

Analyze and research client’s marketplace and product mix

Create actionable near, mid and long term marketing/advertising plans

Show openness to new ideas, feedback and suggestions from others. Be quick and nimble to execute.

Remain current on industry news, developments and trends.

Sell promotional products to automobile dealerships in assigned territory
Make 80 or more phone calls per day.
Work at least four deals with a manager per day to close sales.
Send at least two packets of information out each day
Qualify dealership sales volume, franchises, budget, event history, etc.
Contact every dealer in territory at least once per quarter
Stay up to date on franchise promotions.
Collect money for each job at least 2 days before the mail drop date
Ask for referrals
Visit territory at least twice per year with a Brand Manager
Follow up before, during and after sale dates to ensure client expectations are being met
