Behind the scenes: A day in the life of Gary Kroeger

Gary2010 Name Gary Kroeger Nickname The Trunk Monkey Title Creative Director How long have you worked at Mudd? 8 years in Oct, 2011 What do you do here? I oversee elements of production, write and serve as media talent. Describe a typical day: Busy.  Scripts to write, radio commercials to voice, television spots to host, meet with Account Exec’s about future creative direction and spots in production.  Meet with production teams to create new content for online, television and radio advertising What’s your favorite part about your job? Wearing so many hats. Why do you do what you do? I am a lifelong performer and being involved in hundreds of commercials every month satisfies that “itch.” GaryWork Your best day at Mudd ever: Producing, writing and being IN 8 television commercials in one day and having dinner with colleagues afterward. What inspires you? The quality of work.  When things come together and exceed my expectations because of a team effort. A random fact about yourself: I was on Saturday Night Live for 3 years. As a creative, who inspires you? I am inspired by old time comedians.  Don Knotts, Dick Van Dyke, Red Skelton.  They were original and spontaneous. What makes Mudd a great place to work? People.  Pure and simple.  People. Anything else? The enjoyment we find in our work is measured, not by the task itself, but in the process of collaboration with others and when we hold ourselves individually accountable to be a team player and to contribute our best, there is nothing more satisfying.  Even long hours and strenuous work become a labor of love.
