The Easy Way to Get More Social Interaction

They say a picture is worth one thousand words. Well, I say a high-quality picture is worth much more. Quality images can project professionalism, company presence and a “wow” factor within a split second. The images you use for your advertising mediums are a reflection of your business. By using high-quality images, you can create a more successful campaign that builds on your company’s brand. There is a direct link between using images in your social media and more engagement. According to Buffer, Twitter statistics show that tweets with images received 18 percent more clicks than those without, 89 percent more “favorites” and 150 percent more retweets. Facebook photos generate 53 percent more Likes, 104 percent more comments and 84 percent more clicks than the average post. These figures demonstrate just how powerful images can be for social engagement. It can be hard to find the perfect image without paying a premium price. Luckily, Facebook and Shutterstock announced a partnership that will provide Facebook advertisers access to more than 25 million stock photos for free. That is a huge benefit for marketers. Facebook says, “High-quality, engaging photos often increase the performance of ads, particularly in News Feed. And now, through our collaboration with Shutterstock, it will be easier for businesses to integrate beautiful photography into their Facebook ads.” If you would rather create your own images, you should be aware of restrictions. Facebook has strict rules on allowing your ads to only have 20 percent of text. Your visual must portray the message you want to get across. Instagram also has rules on the types of ads they will display. Instagram posted on their blog, “We want ads to be creative and engaging, so we’re starting with just a handful of brands that are already great members of the Instagram community.” In order to advertise on this growing social media, you’re going to have to use high quality images.
