Clichés, Questions and Other Shenanigans Heard ‘Round the TargetClick Office
Working in an office setting full of twenty-somethings working their first job ever, you hear a lot of interesting things. Let’s have a look back at some of the best over-used office vernacular other miscellaneous ridiculousness.
Greg: “Would you ever drive a Bug?”
Doug: “Do I look like a guy who would drive a Bug”?
Greg: “Well what if someone gave it to you?”
Doug: “If someone gave me a Bug, I’d sell it and spend the money on something else.”
Greg: “But what if you couldn’t sell it? What if you had to drive it”
*continues for 10+ minutes and we still don’t know if Doug would drive a Bug*
“I’m happier than a skunk in a rhubarb patch”
“Why are Haley and Trish doing karate? No one knows, but take a video and put it on Facebook.”
“Everyone wears a lot of hats and has a lot of irons in the fire so let’s just circle back at the end of the day.”
“Lenna got a lamp because she was throwing so much shade.”
And many, many subsequent discussions on shade-throwing.
“Give a man a fish, you can feed him for a day. Give a man Wordpress credentials and everything goes to hell”
Haley’s positivity quickly being shot down.
“Nobody completed their action items so let’s table this until we can talk live by End Of Day.”
“I bet I can finish this whole spreadsheet without ever touching the mouse.”
“I’m not going to do anything all day. I really need to beat 2048.”
“At the end of the day, we just need to put our thinking caps on and think outside the box so we can move the needle with a 30,000-foot view."
